Subscribe to your share of our Kent Island solar farm to support local clean energy and save 10% on electricity with:
Maryland Community Solar:
Clean Energy. Made For Everyone.
No annual contracts
No up front costs
No rooftop panel installation
How This Works
Thanks to the support of the state of Maryland energy, Community Solar is a new, super-easy way to get all the benefits of clean energy:
That’s it. You don’t have to install any panels, sign any annual contracts, or pay any up front costs. You do your part bringing clean solar to your community and save 10% on electricity to boot. Easy, right?
While space lasts, Delmarva Power customers can subscribe to our new 2-Megawatt solar farm on Kent Island.
The solar farm feeds clean power into your community’s electric grid while earning energy credits for our subscribers.
Those credits show up as discounts on subscribers’ utility bills, saving them an average of 10% on electricity.
"It’s an easy way to be part of the solution and save 10% on electricity."

Do I have to install solar panels on my roof?
Nope. We build and maintain the panels on our solar farm on nearby Kent Island. You don’t have to build, install or hook up a thing.
Lower energy costs with no rooftop solar panels? Sounds too good to be true, we get it. And we get that you’ve probably got a lot of questions, too.
Am I eligible?
We’re currently serving selected towns in Queen Anne's and Wilcomico counties as well as a few other towns in Maryland. Enter your zip code here to see if it’s available in your neck of the woods.
How does it lower my electricity costs?
Your allocated share of the solar farm earns you energy credits as it generates power. So, you’ll pay us a discounted rate for those credits, and they’ll automatically be applied in the form of a discount to your monthly Delmarva Power bill.
So, do I get two bills?
Yes (for now). We’ll send you a monthly statement for your share of the farm, and you’ll keep getting your regular electric bill (minus your earned credits). We know that’s annoying, but signing up for automatic bill pay can help alleviate any extra work.
Are you for real?
Yup, we are. We’ve been working with municipalities, communities and homeowners for over a decade, making it easy and affordable for folks everywhere to get involved with the clean energy movement.
Do I have to switch my energy provider?
No. You’ll still get power from Delmarva Power—we’ll just feed our solar energy into their grid. If there’s ever a problem or outage, you’ll still get the exact same service from the exact same people.
How do I get started?
All you need is your zip code. If you’re eligible, we’ll reach out to chat more about your eligibility, and ask for a copy of your electric bill so we can see your usage and work directly with your energy provider.
What’s the catch?
No catch. We believe in doing right by people and, well, the world. So, we’ll never lock you into contract, never gouge you with upfront fees, and never charge you to walk away—if you don’t like the service, you can cancel at any time.
